Why has the belief in resurrection replaced the belief in reincarnation in some religion,reasons?

My research has shown me that Emperor Justinian caused the belief of reincarnation by many in the early Christian church to be stopped by forcing the early church leaders to write an edict saying that you could no longer believe in reincarnation and if you claimed so, you would be punished by death!
