Really gross pink eye question?

I went to the doctor this morning and was told I have pink eye. (shared mascara with my sister, who also has pink eye) I took the first drops, and my eye looked less red and a lot better. Now it is itchy, stinging, and red. But that isn't suprising. But I'm kind of worried because clearish goop is under my lid, on the upper lid, and sticking to my lashes. Is this normal?
