Thick scabbing tattoo. Help! It's my 1st and i was told to wash with antibacterial soap, then use Aquaphor.?

I did those things and I've got thick scabbing. Also, when I used the Aquaphor, it seemed to pull the ink out. It got goopey, and the goop was the color of the ink. I haven't used anything in about a day, but the whole tat is scabbed and hard. What should I use? And do I have to go back for the color that was lost???
